Why do I love my job?
I'm fascinated with all aspects of real estate, and as a REALTOR in Bloomington-Normal, I enjoy opportunities I’m afforded to connect with my local community. I enjoy educating buyers and sellers throughout their transactions, and I love that every day brings something different. My commitment to personal education allows me to grow and develop my expertise, and to be the best agent for my clients.

What do I like best about the Bloomington-Normal Real Estate Market?
Staying current with the MLS isn’t a 9-5 gig… it’s a way of life! My favorite time of year, hands-down, is when the Bloomington-Normal market is fast-paced. I enjoy having the knowledge and determination to help my clients get the hottest house on the market, or be the hottest house on the market – depending on your perspective, of course.
What neighborhood do I live in? What makes it home?
While I appreciate many different styles of homes, I’ve always been attracted to old things – old furniture, old dogs, and especially old homes...I searched long and hard before I found my 1938 craftsman bungalow in Highland Historic District. I appreciate that each home is unique, and the homes there are very different than any other area of town. The distinctive character of the neighborhood has me admiring the view outside my windows as much as I enjoy living in my own home.
When I'm not working, you can find me....
When I'm not working, I can be found relaxing on my front porch, attending to my garden, curled up with a good book and my little dog, or exploring the National Parks. I’m also a conference junkie and a proud real estate geek.

My personal motto is – If you’re not happy, I’m not happy… It’s that simple. I put my own interest aside when helping buyers and sellers, and I focus on their wants and needs above all else. I feel that’s very important to making sure my clients are happy with the end results of their transaction, not only in the moment, but for years to come, as well.

I've sold hundreds of homes and I know that bringing in top dollar means focusing on making people fall in love with a property (through staging and photos), reaching a maximum number of Buyers (through targeted marketing), and strategic pricing and negotiation techniques. We've built our services for Sellers around the philosophy that Sellers are busy...so we do the heavy lifting and take care of the details.

My family has lived in the Bloomington-Normal area for generations – Therefore, I pride myself on not only being a market expert, but an all-around local guru. I love to share my random bits of knowledge about all things McLean County. I’ve never thought of myself as a “salesperson” when assisting buyers – but rather as someone there to assist you in finding the right home for your specific needs, I see myself as an educator and coach, who will help you navigate the process. Most importantly, I’ve never been a fan of pushy salespeople, and am resolute to never be one, myself.
